It was my privilege to photograph Buzz Aldrin at the Aggreko Global Conference in Edinburgh recently . This extraordinary man was the second person to walk on the moon and his youthfulness and quest for adventure has not abated.
Whilst carrying out aerial photography on the west coast I took this image of famous “Bridge over the Atlantic” . It was a stunning day for flying and I captured this image in the crisp winter light with the water reflecting the blue sky which made it almost surreal.
I was fortunate to cover from the air the arrival of the first of the giant caissons for the Forth Replacement Crossing. The sortie involved complex logistics and a narrow weather window. Evening sun against the iconic structure of the rail bridge provided the dramatic backdrop for this picture.
Whilst flying recently I took this view of Braco Roman Fort in Perthshire. It’s a good example of how low winter light can show detail in archaeological sites that you simply can not observe on the ground.
